Between November and December of 2025, I was selected to take part in a four-week study tour in São Paulo, Brazil, through Victoria University of Wellington, supported by the Prime Minister’s Scholarship.

The programme brought together design students from Victoria University of Wellington and Centro Universitário do Instituto Mauá de Tecnologia. Working in mixed New Zealand and Brazilian teams, we collaborated across cultures, disciplines, and languages to explore design for accessibility.

While on the trip, I was invited to temporarily manage the @vuwglobalexchange Instagram account, creating content to promote the programme and inspire other students to apply for global exchange opportunities that Victoria University had to offer.

My goal in this role was to produce short-form, cinematic content with a strong focus on storytelling; capturing candid student moments while showcasing the vibrant aesthetic and culture of Brazil. With multiple locations visited each day, I focused on documenting key highlights and experiences throughout the journey. This included “day in the life” posts, location stories, and recaps of significant moments such as our first day at Mauá and our visit to the Renascer Indigenous Village
